Setting records at the West Coast Kettlebell Sport Classic

I traveled to my old stomping grounds in the Bay Area this past weekend to compete at the West Coast Classic. As always, the event was meticulously planned and executed. The turnout was a little smaller than previous years – due to the Superbowl being hosted nearby – but it made for a super fun event! The day culminated with an exciting showdown between Team Canada and Team USA (with a number of American lifters playing for Canada).

These posts are meant to educate and inform about the roots of Girevoy Sport in America.

Shoutout to John Wild Buckley for sparking the idea!

AKA National Records

In my effort to provide easy access to relevant Kettlebell Sport information on KB Fit Britt, I started compiling records for American Kettlebell Sport lifters. I will keep adding to this and eventually have a succinct list of Kettlebell Sport records for American lifters.

For simplification, I limited the pool to American Kettlebell Association (AKA) competitions and 16kg+ kettlebell weight events.

Special thanks to Steven Khuong for helping me!
