Today's KB Fit Britt tip is on the KETTLEBELL CLEAN.
The video below shows the nuance in clean technique I discussed in the above video.
On the left, I am demonstrating the more efficient way to wait until the kettlebell reaches the "weightless" point before pulling it in, thus allowing me to open my hand earlier and avoid smacking the kettlebell into my arm.
On the right, I am pulling the bell up and back too early (notice the bell tiger tailing slightly in the backswing). Because I am PULLING the bell with my arm, I am not able to release the handle early enough and thus you can see the bell hits my arm with a much greater force. This will burn out my forearms faster and give me "kettlebell kisses" or bruises on my shoulder and bicep.
